The Bridge's Kidzone is sponsoring a Summer Picnic for the Bridge community. After second service on Sunday, May 28th, we'll head to Larry Forrest Park in Somerset. Everyone is invited to come and join us for a kid friendly lunch and games to kick off summer!
We will be healed. It’s a pretty strong statement. A declaration, an anthem. Presumptuous perhaps. But we know it to be true and that’s why we call ourselves Tutapona – Swahili for ‘We will be healed’.
Join us on June 5th as we invite Carl Gaede and family to share what has transpired since they last visited us.
Tutapona provides trauma rehabilitation programs to the most vulnerable people in the world. The forgotten millions. The ones living in refugee camps, fleeing war zones and fighting for their lives.
In 2008 Carl and Julie Gaede followed God’s calling to East Africa to work with child soldiers. It was here Tutapona was birthed and begun as the Gaedes moved themselves and their two young girls to Uganda. In just 8 years, Tutapona provided trauma rehabilitation programs to over 36,000 people. In 2016 the Gaede family moved to Iraq to set up the first Tutapona office in the Middle East to work with Syrian, Kurdish, and Yazidi brothers and sisters who have been scarred by the effects of the conflict around them.
Please join us tonight at The Bridge from 7 to 8pm for a time of talking with God on matters concerning his Kingdom in and around The Bridge community. He has promised to give wisdom to anyone who asks (James 1:5), so let's ask! There are lots of other things to pray about. Don't be shy -- everyone is unique and everyone has a unique role to fulfill in prayer. Your presence alone will be an encouragement to everyone.
Join us alongside the Bridge Bible Church float in the parade! Walk along with us and help pass out candy, info and whatever we might have to share at this community event.
Join Kevin and Yo at The Bridge as they go through the Gospel, Doctrines, The Bridge's CORE beliefs (including why and when we are baptized), The Mission, Vision and Values of The Bridge Bible Church. It's a great class if you would like to expand your knowledge of The Bridge past The Bridge in 7 or are ready to take a step towards becoming a Covenant Partner at The Bridge Bible Church. To take this free class, please fill out the signup form below.
As the Strubbe's time in Somerset draws near to the end, we want to take the time to celebrate as a church body a few weeks before they leave. We will be hosting a picnic at Larry Forrest Park after second service. Food, drinks and games will be provided. You're welcome to bring lawn chairs and/or yard games. Everyone is welcome - come join the fun!
1335 Youth Group features Somerset alum and Minnesota Gopher alum Gaelin Elmore. Gaelin graduated from Somerset in 2014. He accepted a football scholarship to the U of M where he became a standout defensive lineman and team leader. This spring Gaelin will earn his degree, taking just three years to do so.
This event is open to all area high schoolers as Gaelin will share the impact Christ has had on his life. One lucky winner will also be the recipient of a couple of donated Gopher tickets to a football game next fall. Share this exciting opportunity with fellow students and join us at 7:45pm at the Bridge Bible Church.
If you have any questions, please contact Jeff.
For this month's Leadership Night on Tuesday, April 18th Sean is inviting the church body to join to discuss the upcoming transitions at The BRIDGE. No RSVP needed. Light refreshments and childcare provided.
You know you know it…
But then again, maybe you don’t.
Even if you go to church, it doesn’t mean that you are being exposed to the gospel explicitly. Sure, most people talk about Jesus, and about being good and avoiding bad, but the gospel message simply isn’t there—at least not in its specificity and its fullness.
This Bible Study led by Bridge elder Yo VanderBent makes explicit the multifaceted truths of the gospel. Matt Chandler clearly defines the saving power of the gospel and then articulates what the gospel does for believers after salvation. He challenges you to embrace and rely on the gospel to grow in Christlikeness, to persevere in your faith, to serve others in the power of Christ, and to celebrate your eternal redemption.
If you’re looking for an Easter service to attend- join us! We’ve been praying for you. We have two services, one at 9am and another one at 10:45am. Whether you dress casual or put on your Easter best, there's room for everyone. We encourage you to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the service. Happy Easter!

Does God exist? How can anyone believe in religion when science has neither a need nor a place for God? Is evolution happening today? If God is a God of love, why do we suffer and die? Creation Ministries International is coming to your area soon with answers to these important questions. Come and hear Dr Robert Carter expose the bankruptcy of the evolutionary myth. You’ll be amazed to see how weak the scientific evidence for evolution is. To find out more join us on Sunday March 5 at either service.
Immerse is a free class that is a prerequisite for those wishing to be baptized. It is also for those who wish to learn more about baptism and who the Bible calls to be baptized.
An Elder at The Bridge will go through the Gospel, Doctrines, The Bridge's CORE beliefs (including why and when we are baptized), The Mission, Vision and Values of The Bridge Bible Church. If you are ready to take a step towards becoming a Covenant Partner at The Bridge Bible Church, this class is a must. Childcare is available.
A common question among children is "why?" It's a natural way to learn about the world we live in (and to try to find loopholes in parental rules). While it's a simple question to ask, it's not always easy to answer. Just a few "whys" can lead to topics that some people spend a lifetime studying, like "why is it snowing?"
Questions about our faith can be like that, too. "Why do you believe Jesus is alive?" "Why do you believe the Bible?" How would you handle them? If you've wanted to get more prepared for such discussions with your friends, come join Jon Krueger for the No Apologies class on Fridays, January 13th - Januaray 27th, from 7-8:15pm in the Gathering space at The Bridge. We'll get at those questions and many more and, just as important, how to go about handling them when they come up. As the apostle Peter wrote, we should:
always [be] prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.
(1 Peter 3:15)
Childcare available if requested.
