The People of the Kingdom | Luke 9:28-36

Luke 9:28–36 - In this awe-filled message on the ascension, we see Jesus' divine nature shine through—brighter than any light—showing us that He is not merely a man touched by God’s glory, but the very source of it. Joined by Moses and Elijah, representing the Law and the Prophets, Jesus is affirmed by the Father’s voice: “This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to Him.” The scene is rich with Old Testament echoes, pointing to Jesus as the greater Moses, the true temple, and the One who brings a better exodus—leading us out of sin and into God’s unshakable Kingdom. Pastor Rob reminds us that the meeting place between God and man is no longer a mountain or a tent, but the person of Jesus. How does the glory of Christ shape my worship and obedience? Am I truly listening to Him, as the Father has commanded?
