The People of the Kingdom | Luke 12:1–12
Luke 12:1–12 - In this honest and weighty message, Pastor Rob warns of the slow, creeping danger of religious hypocrisy—the kind that begins with people-pleasing and ends in spiritual pride. As the crowds press in, Jesus doesn’t rebuke their desperation, but He does caution His disciples: don’t fall for the praise of people. That’s how the leaven of the Pharisees spreads—through fear of man, performance, and pretense. Rob challenges us to examine whether we’re living for approval or for Jesus, reminding us that everything hidden will one day be revealed. Yet even in this sobering call to integrity, Jesus offers deep reassurance: we are seen, known, and valued by the Father. And in our most anxious moments, the Holy Spirit will give us the words we need to bear witness. The path of discipleship is costly, but never alone. Questions to Consider: Am I putting on a mask to appear more spiritual than I am? Where have I let fear of people shape my choices more than fear of God? Do I trust that the Spirit will speak through me when I need Him most?
