Jacob’s Dream | Genesis 28:10–22

Genesis 28:10–22 - In this powerful and worship-filled gathering, Pastor Rob reflects on Jacob’s encounter with God at Bethel—an unexpected meeting with the presence of the Almighty in the middle of nowhere. What begins as a journey to find a wife becomes a sacred moment of revelation: God is nearer than we think, not bound by location or tradition, but presiding over all the earth. Through the dream of the ladder and God’s reaffirmation of the covenant, Jacob learns what we all must—God is not just the God of our parents or past generations; He is our God, and He desires to dwell with us. Rob reminds us that Jesus is the fulfillment of that ladder—the way into the presence of the Father—and that every time we gather in His name, our ordinary space becomes holy ground. God’s greatest blessing is not what He gives, but that He is with us. The rock outside is a testimony: surely the Lord is in this place. Questions to Consider: Do I believe God is truly with me right here, right now? How might I approach worship differently if I believed I was standing on holy ground? Is my relationship with God personal, or inherited from someone else’s faith?
